Ingredients:
- 200g of all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp of salt
- 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 50ml of water
- 150g of mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, and potatoes)
- 1 tsp of cumin seeds
- 1 tsp of coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp of garam masala
- 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp of lemon juice
- Oil for frying
Kitchen Tools Needed:
- frying pan
- mixing bowl
- rolling pin
- cutting board
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, and vegetable oil. Gradually add water and knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- In another pan, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add cumin seeds, allowing them to splutter.
- Add mixed vegetables and sauté for about 5 minutes until tender. Stir in coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric, and lemon juice. Cook for another 2 minutes and let it cool.
- Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into a thin circle. Cut the circle in half to create two semi-circles.
- Take one semi-circle, form a cone by folding it and sealing the edge with a little water. Fill the cone with the vegetable mixture and seal the open edge firmly.
- Repeat the process for the remaining dough and filling.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the samosas until they turn golden brown and crispy on all sides. Drain on paper towels before serving.
