Creamy Chicken and Mushroom Skillet

Ingredients:


  • 300g of chicken breast, diced
  • 200g of mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 150ml of chicken broth
  • 100ml of heavy cream
  • 50g of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:


  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the diced chicken to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until the mushrooms are golden and the onions are translucent, about 4-5 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes so it reduces slightly.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, mixing until smooth and creamy.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and cook for another 5 minutes, ensuring the chicken is fully cooked through.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
