Savory Corn and Oat Patties

Ingredients:


  • 1 cup of corn
  • 1 cup of oats
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1/2 cup of water (as needed)

Instructions:

  • In a skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
  • In a bowl, combine the corn, oats, sautéed onions, salt, black pepper, and cumin. Mix well.
  • Gradually add water to the mixture until it holds together but is not too wet.
  • Form the mixture into small patties.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve warm as a snack.
