Ingredients:


  • 2 cups of whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 3/4 cup of water (as needed)
  • 1 tablespoon of oil (for cooking)

  • Rolling pin
  • Frying pan
  • Mixing bowl

Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and salt.
  • Gradually add water to the flour mixture and knead until you form a soft dough.
  • Let the dough rest for about 5 minutes, covered with a damp cloth.
  • Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and shape them into balls.
  • On a floured surface, roll each ball into a thin circle using a rolling pin.
  • Heat a frying pan over medium heat and cook each roti for about 30 seconds on each side, or until golden brown.
  • Brush with a little oil while cooking for added flavor, if desired.
