Ingredients:

  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 200g of all-purpose flour
  • 2g of yeast
  • 1g of baking soda
  • 10g of sugar
  • 50g of butter, melted

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Blender
  • Stove Top

Instructions:

  • Begin by heating a small pan on the stove top and add chopped onions. Sauté the onions on medium heat until they become translucent and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • In a blender, combine the sautéed onions, 50g of melted butter, and 10g of sugar. Blend until smooth.
  • In a bowl, mix 200g of all-purpose flour with 2g of yeast and 1g of baking soda.
  • Pour the blended onion mixture into the flour mixture and stir until just combined. Do not overmix. If it's too thick, you can add a little water to reach a thicker batter consistency.
  • Preheat the oven to 190°C (370°F). Fill a muffin tin with muffin liners or grease it lightly.
  • Scoop the batter into the muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the muffins are golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
