Mince Puff Pastry Swirls

Ingredients:


  • 250g of minced beef
  • 200g of puff pastry
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 100g of grated cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the minced beef, chopped onion, grated cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangular shape.
  • Spread the mince mixture evenly over the rolled-out pastry, leaving a small border on the edges.
  • Starting from one side, tightly roll the pastry into a log shape. Ensure the filling stays inside as you roll.
  • Slice the log into 1.5 cm thick swirls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the tops of the swirls with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden and puffed up.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
